Margaret Lawrence

Mrs Lawrence has lived in the town for almost 30 years and has recently com­pleted a 21 year stint as a school gov­er­nor at Imber­horne School. Fol­low­ing her vol­un­tary work in Alba­nia she was awarded the Free­dom of the City of Shko­dra. She still main­tains her links with that coun­try and also has a clinic named after her.

Her char­ity work is now with Vision Aid Over­seas and she has recently returned from her fifth project in Ethiopia where she headed a team test­ing and pro­vid­ing peo­ple from out­ly­ing vil­lages with spec­ta­cles. As ever, a big thank you to our patients for their ongo­ing con­tri­bu­tions and old glasses.

Mrs Lawrence now prac­tices on a part-time basis but con­tin­ues to remain up to date on the lat­est advances in Optometry.
