Margaret Lawrence
Mrs Lawrence has lived in the town for almost 30 years and has recently completed a 21 year stint as a school governor at Imberhorne School. Following her voluntary work in Albania she was awarded the Freedom of the City of Shkodra. She still maintains her links with that country and also has a clinic named after her.
Her charity work is now with Vision Aid Overseas and she has recently returned from her fifth project in Ethiopia where she headed a team testing and providing people from outlying villages with spectacles. As ever, a big thank you to our patients for their ongoing contributions and old glasses.
Mrs Lawrence now practices on a part-time basis but continues to remain up to date on the latest advances in Optometry.
